About The Position

Xpressdocs is looking for a CanonIX Press Operator to play a critical role in producing high-quality printed materials for our clients using our Canon digital printing press. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the press to ensure efficient and accurate production while meeting quality standards. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering top-notch results. In this position, you will: Set up the Canon digital printing press for various print jobs. Load paper and ink, adjust print settings, and ensure proper alignment. Monitor and control print quality throughout production runs. Perform regular maintenance tasks on the press to keep it in optimal condition. Troubleshoot and address minor technical issues as they arise. Collaborate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs when necessary. Conduct quality checks at regular intervals to ensure that printed materials meet client specifications. Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and share suggestions with the production team. Promote teamwork by supporting operators and supervisors during busy or critical periods. You’ll thrive in this role if you: Have 1 - 2 years minimum experience on digital presses (Canon IX preferred) Have strong technical knowledge of digital printing equipment and processes. Are detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Have basic computer skills for press operation and record keeping. Are knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a printing environment. Have flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed. Possess the ability to lift 20lbs on a regular basis and occasionally lift and/or move 75lbs., repetitively lift 10-35 lbs. for extended periods of time, stand and walk up to 80% of the time, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time, move throughout all departments within the company, and be able to be around loud machinery for up to 12 hours/day.
