About The Position

Cannabis Trimming Technician 5301 Vasquez Blvd., Commerce City, CO 80022 We are looking for more than just a green thumb; we need a strong and professional individual to navigate our booming cannabis cultivation facility in Commerce City, CO. Our ideal candidate is someone who can work as a team-player with strict adherence to compliance and state regulations, ensure timelines are met with success, and can still have an upbeat smile throughout the course of the day. We are not looking for perfection, but someone who is confident in themselves, has great work ethic, and strives for the best each day even when things get rocky. This full-time, non-exempt individual will be responsible for assisting the Post-Harvest Manager in implementing all post-harvest operations including harvesting, de-stemming, trimming, curing, quality control, packaging, product transfers, and waste processing/reporting. Additional facility maintenance and sanitation assistance is required. Efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail are extremely important within this position. Position Overview: As a Cannabis Trimmer, you will be responsible for the efficient and precise trimming of cannabis flower during the post-harvest process. You will help maintain the quality and aesthetic of the product by carefully trimming excess leaves while ensuring the integrity of the buds. This role is integral to maintaining a high standard of product that meets both company and regulatory guidelines. In addition, you may assist in other post-harvest duties such as harvesting, curing, and packaging as needed.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Commercial Post-Harvest operations experience preferred
  • Experience with Metrc preferred
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain an MED Employee Badge
  • Ability to pass a background check with no pending charges or convictions within the past 10 years
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work stated hours
  • Sense of humor and willingness to admit their own faults because we all have them
  • Accountability for yourself and others
  • Ability to work Monday Friday and select holidays as needed

  • Must maintain post-harvest production support; including but not limited to inventory management, harvesting, de-stemming, trimming, curing, packaging, product transfers, quality control, sanitation, waste management, and facility maintenance.
  • Exhibit consistent processing technique, tracking and meeting of production goals.
  • Demonstrate strong counting, tracking, and inventory management skills
  • Implement safe and compliant product storage and quality control strategies to combat mold, powdery mildew, fungus, and other contaminants as directed by the Post-Harvest Manager.
  • Assist with the maintenance of post-harvest inventory management documentation..
  • Implement facility sanitation standards as directed by the Post-Harvest Manager.
  • Communicate resource and supply needs to the Post-Harvest Manager and Facility Manager as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manually trim cannabis buds to remove excess leaves and stems while preserving the shape and potency of the flower.
  • Ensure that each trimmed bud meets company quality standards regarding appearance, size, and weight.
  • Efficiently and accurately process cannabis in a timely manner to meet daily production targets.
  • Regularly inspect buds for mold, contamination, or other quality issues and report any concerns to the Post-Harvest Manager.
  • Assist in the harvest of cannabis plants, including cutting, hanging, and organizing plants for drying.
  • Handle harvested plants with care to avoid damaging flowers and maintain productintegrity.
  • Help with the curing process by monitoring drying times, adjusting environmental factors as necessary, and ensuring that the product is stored properly.
  • Clean and maintain trimming stations, scissors, and other equipment to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Ensure that the trimming area remains organized and that product is handled in a clean and contamination-free environment.
  • Follow all sanitation protocols to prevent contamination or degradation of the product.
  • Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding cannabis production and handling, including maintaining sanitary conditions and proper documentation of product movement.
  • Record accurate weights and logs of trimmed cannabis and waste material for reporting and compliance.
  • Follow company guidelines for product quality, cleanliness, and health safety standards.
  • Work closely with other members of the post-harvest and cultivation teams to ensure seamless operations and efficient task execution.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding any issues that arise during trimming or post-harvest operations.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels of trimmed cannabis and report daily production outputs.
  • Help with tracking and managing plant materials, waste, and inventory transfers according to state regulations and company policies.
