About The Position

The Brand Ambassador is a customer-facing representative of our product and dispensary brands in New York. This position will be responsible for engaging with the community to provide education and answer questions through in-store demos and events and communicating in-store promotions. Must have excellent time management skills and be willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a marketing, agency or promotional setting
  • Experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Must be enthusiastic, engaging, cannabis-savvy, well organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to communicate in an informative and professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external agency partners.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and be results-oriented.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for representing our brands and products in community, retail, and marketing events.
  • Become a brand expert, able to answer questions about product benefits and provide product knowledge.
  • Build brand awareness and loyalty by creating memorable patient/customer experiences.
  • Must set-up and breakdown tables, tents, swag items and marketing collateral in-store and other events.
  • Manage the distribution/inventory of marketing swag and collateral for events and giveaways.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local community partners.
  • Manage and adhere to established schedules in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while ensuring accuracy and follow through.
  • Partner with and maintain productive working relationships with the dispensary, wholesale, and manufacturing teams.
  • Works productively with internal cross-functional teams as well as with external partners.
  • Typical work schedule: work from home on Tuesday to set up the following week’s schedule and follow up with partners, travel Wed-Sat to conduct dispensary pop-ins and pop-ups.
  • Being a company brand ambassador and representing the brand appropriately.
  • Building relationships with community leaders and trust from our neighbors.
  • Following and implementing the company’s core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
  • Ensuring adherence to the company’s cultural principles.
  • Participates and embraces a highly motivated team environment.
  • Implementing brand sales marketing strategies.
  • Technology - learn and keep up with innovative technology trends as presented.
  • Compliance – utilize internal and external information to understand federal and state laws and industry trends regarding medical marijuana.
