About The Position

The Cannabis Advisor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and educational consulting regarding cannabis products. This role involves assisting customers in understanding the benefits and applications of cannabis as a wellness product, while also managing patient records and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software including Word, Excel, and email.
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cannabis products or knowledge of the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate for cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers and patients on cannabis usage as a wellness product.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Provide information on types, methods, and efficacy of cannabis products without giving medical advice.
• Engage in ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation/storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish inventory displays.
• Complete transactions at the POS and update the state monitored inventory system accurately.
