About The Position

The kitchen production position is responsible for preparing a variety of quality products , including fudge, caramel corns, brittles, caramel apples and other caramel dipped items. This position will be expected to create products that meet the Kilwins Standard of products on a regular basis ensuring the store remains stocked with freshly made products. Additionally, the position will be expected to assist with a variety of dut ies when not preparing products , with a primary focus on ensuring customer s have an outstanding experience .

Requirements

• Ability to operate POS system and count back change
• Ability to work well with others, listens well and follows direction
• Must be customer service oriented, with good personality and manners
• Must read and speak English and have good communication skills
• Current student or High School diploma/equivalent
• Must be able to lift 5 0 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time while cooking over a gas stove in ret ail store environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous food preparation experience helpful, but not necessary
• Previous sales experience helpful, but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts wi th customers
• Answers customer questions and makes sales suggestions
• Has a working knowledge of product offerings
• Makes product following Kilwins - approved recipes
• Follows proper regulations for food handling
• Assists with restocking and setting up displays
• Operates Point of Sale (POS) system
• General cleaning; dust, sweep, mop, and wash windows, empty garbage
• Packs boxes and baskets
