About The Position

Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. This posting is for a candidate pool for anticipated vacancies for the 2024-2025 school year. Teaches a standard range of courses expected in the first two years of a degree program in the field.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or master's degree in a related field and 18 credits of graduate level work specific to the field of Early Childhood Education.
• College teaching experience, high school teaching experience, or adult education experience.

• Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Commitment to fostering inclusiveness, equity and diversity within the academic setting.
• Teaching experience with Early College students or at the High School level.
• Commitment to the mission of the community college.
• Experience building and facilitating asynchronous or hybrid courses using a standard learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on campus day and evening classes.
• Prepares for instruction.
• Assesses student performance.
• Provides student assistance by appointment.
• Engages in professional development and required trainings.
• Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.
