About The Position

The Cancer Data Analyst-Certified position at Norton Cancer Institute involves accessioning and abstracting all required malignancies and non-malignancies into the merged NHC cancer data repository. The role includes assisting with life-time follow-up of all NHC cancer patients, data analysis requests, and outcome studies. The incumbent will also assist managers with cancer committee development projects, help train and assist new registry employees with department operations, coordinate tumor conferences as necessary, and ensure that operations and performance comply with the requirements of the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer (ACoS, CoC), the Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR), and the mission of the Norton Cancer Institute.

Requirements

• Associate Degree
• Certified Tumor Registrar - Must obtain Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential within three years of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year in the KY Cancer system
• Registered Health Information Administrator OR Registered Health Information Technician
