About The Position

The Cancer Care Scheduler II is responsible for coordinating patient appointments and referrals within the Oncology Clinic at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital. This role involves direct interaction with patients and healthcare providers to ensure efficient scheduling and compliance with medical protocols. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to identify process improvements to enhance patient care services.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• One year experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates scheduling and referrals to other healthcare providers and services.
• Obtains approval for schedule changes or cancellations as appropriate.
• Assists with maintenance and updating of provider contact information.
• Ensures that all medical appointments, special instructions, and patient information are entered into the electronic medical system.
• Follows site-specific protocols and maintains up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and participates in improvement plans.
• Works on special projects as needed.
• May review the work of others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
