About The Position

The Campus Worship Pastor is responsible for overseeing all worship ministry activity to facilitate core, care and community at the campus level. This position reports to the Campus Pastor and oversees the campus worship staff (Associate Campus Worship Pastor, Worship Coordinator, Music Director and Kids Team Lead.) The Campus Worship Pastor leads the congregation toward intimacy with God by developing highly skilled, anointed, Spirit-filled worship teams for all weekly and weekend worship experiences. This role maintains the Worship Consistency best practices, standards and policies of Gateway worship.

Responsibilities

  • Attend bi-monthly campus Associate Campus Pastor meetings
  • Attend bi-monthly campus all-staff meetings
  • Schedule worship for campus ministry events (Women's, Men's, funerals, etc.)
  • Campus lead team meetings
  • Pastor on-call (two weeks annually)
  • Staff oversight meetings
  • Worship team staff meetings
  • Campus Worship Operations
  • Manage budget (operational and event staff)
  • Monthly meetings with Central Worship
  • Pastoring the Team - communication, one on one meetings, care, family gatherings
  • Lead worship 3-weekend rotation (36 weekends per year)
  • Scheduling teams
  • Develop Wineskins, post songs on PCO
  • Worship leader's skill development
  • Oversee weekend worship services: Soundcheck/rehearsal
  • LP Coordination
  • Meet and oversee MD for service planning
  • Communicate with oversight pastor (time, transitions and closing)
  • Attend pre-service meetings
  • Serve on New Song Review Team
  • Pastor congregation through various means of communication in theology of worship that is coherent with Gateway's values and beliefs
  • Oversee Associate Worship Pastor (NextGen)
  • Weekly oversight meetings
  • Attend appropriate NextGen services
  • Mentor/Pastor kids worship teams
  • Meet with all NextGen worship staff/teams
  • Six-week Coaching session (Adult and NextGen)
  • Onboarding process (in-take, evals, coaching)
  • Ongoing Development (for current team members, to develop worship leaders)
