About The Position

Work under general supervision to assist students and teachers in use of computers and educational software in campus computer lab.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certification
• Knowledge of basic computer operations and skills
• Ability to operate personal computer and educational software
• Ability to work with students and teachers effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively
• One year of experience working with children

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students in use of computers, printers, and instructional software.
• Work cooperatively with teachers to identify student placement in instructional software.
• Input data and maintain computerized and physical files on student progress and use of instructional programs.
• Run updates on technology equipment throughout the campus.
• Install a variety of software following written or verbal instructions.
• Issue devices to staff and students as necessary.
• Maintain campus technology inventory and update inventory annually.
• Process and complete technology work orders in a timely fashion. Work orders requiring additional levels of complexity may be forwarded to district technology staff.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Help supervise students during arrival and dismissal from school.
• Assist with office and workroom clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and special events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Principal
