About The Position

The Campus Supervisor provides direct supervision campus-wide to all staff on a given shift under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Responsibilities include performing physical assessments of residents, implementing treatment plans, evaluating responses to treatment, providing complete documentation, administering medications as prescribed, and offering health care education for residents and families. The role adheres to the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, as well as the facility's mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany is a 56-bed psychiatric hospital that offers adult behavioral health programs and treatment services, focusing on crisis stabilization and medication management for patients with various mental health disorders. The facility provides a structured and supportive treatment environment for individuals aged 5-17 and adults over 18 with severe mental illness. The multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and specialized nurses who collaborate to develop effective treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure and registration by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as a registered nurse required.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years prior clinical experience required.
  • Recent psychiatric nursing experience required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisor experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • BSN or Master's degree preferred.
  • CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a drug test.
  • Successfully pass a national background check.
  • Physical agility to manage patients.
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.
  • Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids, and other hazardous waste.
