The opportunity: NWCA is in search of a Campus Supervisor of Security & Parking that can be ready on day one to be able to jump in on multiple fronts.  This job will be assisting the Campus Parking and Security Manager in all Security and Parking Operations on Campus. They will support the Event and Campus Operations to facilitate a safe and secure environment for all guests, staff, and vendors. Under the supervision of the Campus Manager of Security & Parking, this position will work closely with all operations to set up standard operating procedures and implementation of best practices for security procedures, emergency management and parking systems. The Campus Security & Parking Supervisor will ensure a safe and secure experience for visitors, event attendees, and staff. This position will assist with managing security & sometimes parking personnel and vendors, coordinate security strategies for events, monitor the facility for any safety risks, and maintain compliance with safety and security regulations. Will be assisting implementing parking logistics, managing parking staff and working closely with event managers to ensure proper space allocation and traffic flow during high-traffic events. This is a multifaceted job with a broad spectrum of opportunities for professional development. Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant industry experience in Security and Parking Management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Security & Parking software (CCTV); industry best practices and trends in operations management.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills; attention to detail and ability to analyze and process improve strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to onboard & commission parking garages and lots.
  • High EQ and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or proven relevant experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight of campus security, event security, and work with event managers, and other departments to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Assist the Campus Safety & Sustainability Manager on protocols and emergency procedures for events
  • Assist in standing up and provide guidance as needed in the deployment of the Incident Command System for major medical events, evacuations, crowd control incidents, or other crisis management needs.
  • Assist training the Business Continuity & Crisis Communication plans.
  • Oversite on post-incident review, corrective actions, and documentation.
  • Ensure event crowd management requirements and training are met.
  • Assist with incidents and emergencies, including medical situations, threats, and evacuations.
  • Maintain detailed security logs and reports, including incident reports.
  • Assist with Managing & Maintaining security systems, including surveillance cameras, and alarms.
  • Assist with NWCA campus access systems that include the key control program, ID badge/access control system, and event key and badge requests.
  • Assist with Managing Lost & Found Program.
  • Assist with managing day-to-day parking operations, including overseeing parking lots, garages, and event needs.
  • Working closely with campus security, event security, event managers, and other departments to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Assist with Coordinating parking logistics for the campus and events of varying sizes, adjusting parking plans based on expected attendance, partners for campus coordination and DOTI.
  • Involved in supporting of parking pay systems, pricing, ticketing, towing and campus parking procedures.
  • Assist in managing parking equipment and maintaining updated inventory.
  • Assist with management of campus parking permit program.
