About The Position

St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School is a coeducational Catholic school serving students from Pre-K 3 through 12th grade in Austin, Texas. The Lower School comprises grades PK3-4th, the Middle School houses grades 5-8, and the Upper school includes grades 9-12. The campus store associate will serve in the development, operation, and maintenance of all spirit wear inventory, sales, and distribution, in association with St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School. This is a part-time, hourly position that reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs. Evening and weekend hours will be required. Spirit wear is sold in two ways: through our online spirit wear store and in person, during events on campus. This position will be responsible for managing inventory, fulfilling online purchases, stocking and preparing the spirit trailer, and in-person sales during events.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with businesses, organizations, and schools; and work with customers, community members, and parents.
• Dependability and willingness to support the varied needs of the team.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work weekday afternoons, weekday evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update inventory; keeping the Director of Auxiliary Programs informed as inventory begins running low.
• Fulfill online orders and assist in communication.
• Keep the stock room clean and organized.
• Keep the spirit trailer clean and organized.
• Keep the distribution center clean and organized.
• Ensure the spirit trailer is well stocked prior to an on-campus event.
• Serve as the head sales associate in the spirit trailer during on-campus events.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns as needed.
• Display positive attitude and pride in work, and represent the organization in a positive manner.
• Work independently and work under minimum supervision.
• Additional duties as assigned.
