About The Position

The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the personal safety of the university community during night shifts. This role involves providing a visible deterrent to crime, protecting university property, and responding to emergencies in a courteous and professional manner. Officers work under the supervision of a Campus Safety Supervisor and are part of a dedicated team focused on maintaining a safe campus environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years' security work experience or equivalent training.
• Experience in emergency services, military, or law enforcement.
• Valid driver's license.
• Act 34 clearance.
• Act 235 certification (preferred).
• Law enforcement certification (e.g., Act 120).
• Complete University safe driver program with van certification within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using radio communications equipment.

Responsibilities
