Campus Safety Officers (CSO) serve as the first responders throughout the APU Campus, ensuring the protection of students, staff, faculty, and assets at Azusa Pacific University. CSOs may also act as a liaison between Campus Safety and University leadership during emergencies. CSOs are expected to cultivate strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff, helping to build a safe and supportive campus environment. CSOs monitor campus surveillance cameras to identify and respond to potential security threats, as well as assist with proactive safety measures. Campus Safety provides coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round, and CSOs must be flexible to cover shifts based on departmental needs, including holidays and weekends. This position is a full-time role requiring a 3/12-hour work schedule per week.
