About The Position
This is an On-Call hourly pool. Applications are collected for possible immediate, or future college vacancies. This type of employment is temporary and often sporadic. You may only be contacted if a review of your application results in the intent to pursue your candidacy. Certification as an unarmed private security professional through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) is required at time of application. List certification number, issue date, and expiration date on application. Payment for this certification is not sponsored by Southwestern. To promote the safety and well-being of the College community, utilizing established College policies and procedures while working in accordance with the Oregon DPSST Private Security Professional standards. Campus Safety provides patrol services on campus to ensure the safety and security of staff, students, and the public. Observes, reports, and safely intervenes, when appropriate, and reports criminal or illegal acts to outside partner agencies. Responds and takes appropriate action in the event of a fire or medical emergency and reports to outside partner agencies.
