Start date is August 1 ,2026. The University of Texas-University Charter School is a public charter school and follows all state and federal regulations for public school services. The University of Texas-University Charter School is a part of the University of Texas at Austin’s College of Education. Purpose Serve as a campus registrar.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or its recognized equivalent and three years related clerical experience. Additional education may substitute for clerical experience.
  • Experienced and highly proficient in the use of computer software systems and scanners.
  • Demonstrated ability to enter extensive and detailed data accurately with attention to detail; demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision and with frequent interruptions; ability to work under tight deadlines; demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing; excellent organization, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Enroll and withdraw students in accordance with UT-UCS and TEA policies.
  • Enter student demographic and PEIMS data; special program start and end dates; grade level changes.
  • Enter principal approved student schedules and make principal approved schedule changes as needed.
  • Obtain all general education and special education records for transfer students in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill record requests through TREX.
  • Fulfill record requests for out-of-state transfer students in a timely manner.
  • Scan special education records from prior schools into ESPED and identify each document with proper labels.
  • Verify and enter attendance daily in student management software.
  • Generate attendance reports to reconcile attendance weekly.
  • Communicate with residential facility regarding student absences and tardies.
  • Produce and mail three week progress reports and six week report cards.
  • Create and maintain electronic and paper student cumulative records.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality concerning student records.
  • Generate PEIMS reports and verify data for accuracy.
  • Answer and route phone calls.
  • Take messages when required.
  • Distribute incoming mail to faculty and staff.
  • Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
