About The Position

Job Summary: The Campus Pastor provides spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and operational oversight for the Home Glen location. The role is responsible for shepherding the congregation, developing leadership, fostering spiritual growth, community outreach, and ensuring alignment with the vision and values of New Life Community Church. This position does not include regular preaching responsibilities but focuses on relational ministry, discipleship, campus leadership, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • A spiritually mature Christian in full agreement with New Life’s statement of faith and core values; strong desire to serve Christ and His church.
  • Demonstrated pastoral heart and shepherding gifting.
  • Prior pastoral or ministry leadership experience; theology degree or bachelor’s degree in ministry field.
  • Meets the biblical requirements for position (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 6:4).
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and manage the staff, ministry teams and volunteers to accomplish church goals.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual oversight and shepherding for the campus congregation. Maintain a visible and relational presence before and after services.
  • Oversee weekly campus services in collaboration with central teams. Ensure campus alignment with church-wide doctrine, policies, and vision.
  • Ensure excellence in hospitality, production, kids/youth ministry, and guest experience.
  • Offer pastoral counseling, prayer, and care during times of crisis, grief, or major life transitions.
  • Conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms, child dedications, and hospital visits as appropriate.
  • Develop and oversee systems of care (care teams, prayer teams, benevolence, follow up).
  • Ensure new attendees are welcomed, connected, and integrated into the church community.
  • Lead and develop campus staff and ministry leaders. Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders.
  • Champion life groups and discipleship pathways; ensure clear next steps for spiritual growth.
  • Manage campus-specific budget and resources as assigned.
  • Build relationships with the local community; represent the church in community partnerships and outreach initiatives. Identify strategic opportunities for local ministry impact.
  • Participate in regular meetings/communication with pastoral team and central leadership.
