About The Position
GISD Campus Paraprofessional / Aide Pool Application Assist the classroom teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to assist in instructing science, reading, writing, and mathematics
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Some experience working with children required
- Meet - or ability to meet - formal academic assessment required by ESSA
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or two years of study at an institute of higher learning preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities
- Assist with administrative requirements
