About The Position

This position is responsible for: Monitoring the behavior and activities of guests participating in The Salvation Army Kroc Center programming; monitors the security and safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with rules and polices and to protect the safety of staff and members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Six months experience working with the public with experience working in security or facility monitoring preferred.
• First Aid, C.P.R. Narcan training.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Work requires ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (less than 25-50lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors guests' behavior and activities to ensure compliance with program and facility rules and guidelines; advises guests of the appropriate behavior to stay in the program/facility.
• Provides monitoring for the building and grounds by being aware of activities happening across the campus.
• Maintains awareness of activities outside of the building; ensures that vehicles are parked in designated areas; ensures property is not vandalized.
• Monitors telephones, security cameras, and fire system; notifies proper authorities and supervisor when emergency assistance is needed.
• Prepares and maintains logs and records for assigned shift; ensures accuracy and completeness of the same.
