About The Position

The Auxiliary/Campus Monitor position at Desert Hills Elementary is designed for the 2024-2025 school year. The role involves monitoring students and ensuring their safety during school hours. The position is part-time, requiring 4 hours of work per day over a total of 180 work days. The salary for this position is set at $13.25 per hour.

Requirements

• One (1) to Two (2) years of experience working with children, preferred.
• Ability to record information.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally).
• Some knowledge of traffic rules.
• Demonstrate knowledge of standard safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students during school hours to ensure their safety.
• Record information as required.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Work effectively with Elementary, Middle, and High School students, staff, and parents.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of standard safety procedures for protecting and crossing students at congested intersections.
• Work an intermittent schedule as needed.
