About The Position

The MinnWest Technology Campus maintains a beautiful, one hundred acre campus that is focused on attracting and retaining business partners to an innovative, collaborative, and unique working environment. With over twelve commercial cottages at over 18,000 square feet each, the MinnWest Technology Campus has a wide variety of space that can be remodeled to suit each company’s unique staff, technology and workflow needs. Coordinate the daily workflow and scheduling of the Maintenance Technicians on the MinnWest Maintenance Team. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall condition of campus buildings, facilities, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and fire alarms). Operate, maintain, and repair campus equipment including vehicles, lawn mowers, power tools, tractors, and other maintenance equipment. Manage groundskeeping activities including landscaping, snow removal, and upkeep of outdoor spaces. Respond to maintenance requests and oversee completion of work orders, facility repairs, and improvement projects. Coordinate facility maintenance projects and collaborate with contractors, including obtaining quotes and managing project execution. Maintain equipment inventory, service records, warranties, and maintenance logs. Partner with leadership to plan facility improvements, capital projects, and maintenance budgets. Ensure facilities and maintenance practices comply with safety standards and applicable regulations. Maintain a safe work environment by conducting routine safety checks and performing preventative maintenance on equipment and tools. The Equipment and Facilities Lead ensures our operations run at their best by overseeing the maintenance, care, and performance of all equipment and facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable environments that support our teams and daily operations. Other key areas include:

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, equipment repair, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, boilers, plumbing, generators, and general mechanical equipment.
  • Basic carpentry, construction, and small equipment repair skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the capability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work orders, and meet deadlines independently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and outside contractors.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and work order management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to be on-call and respond to incidental situations after hours and on weekends in regular rotation.

Nice To Haves

  • certifications in HVAC, boilers, plumbing, or pool maintenance are a plus.
