The work of the Campus Investigator is governed by Hamilton College policies that are aligned with federal legislation, including the Clery Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Drug-Free Schools and Regulations, Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The Campus Investigator must also be attentive to state and federal requirements for compliance reports and submit timely reports of their investigations to the appropriate campus entities. The Campus Investigator will report to the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and work closely with the Director of Campus Safety and the Director of Community Standards, supporting both areas in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures. This is an exempt position with a pay range of $68,000 - $78,000.
