About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Admin to provide essential office support while performing occasional cashier duties. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and can balance administrative responsibilities with light financial transactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced campus dining environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly approach when interacting with students, faculty, staff, and dining team members
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or willingness to learn dining and campus systems (POS, ordering platforms, etc.)
  • Comfortable handling basic cashiering duties, including processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate transaction records
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail, especially when handling cash and tracking invoices or petty cash
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to support both administrative and dining operations as needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a structured, service-oriented environment
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service in support of the campus dining experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in administrative support, food service, customer service, or cashiering is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; respond to general inquiries via email or in person.
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) for easy retrieval of records.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Perform minor cashier duties, including: Accepting payments (cash, check, or card) Issuing receipts and balancing small cash drawers Recording transactions accurately in the system
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as invoice tracking and petty cash reconciliation.
  • Support other departments with administrative projects as needed
