About The Position

The Campus Connections and Grant Project Manager at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is responsible for overseeing the Campus Connections program, which focuses on mentoring at-promise youth. This role involves managing daily operations, recruiting mentors, coordinating with local school districts, and seeking community funding. Additionally, the position supports the Digital Citizenship and Civics Leadership project, enhancing civic engagement and education for students in the Pikes Peak Region. The manager will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the success of both programs, while also handling budget management and program evaluation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience working with high school and undergraduate college students, particularly in outreach and education access programs.
  • Proven experience in logistics and event coordination, particularly for youth-focused programs.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience working with diverse populations and pre-collegiate staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in grant writing and management, as well as financial management.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with grant-funded programs or non-profit organizations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Campus Connections program, including mentor recruitment and coordination with local school districts.
  • Manage logistics for Campus Connections programming and outreach events, including transportation and scheduling.
  • Support financial management, including budgeting, billing, and invoicing for the program.
  • Coordinate outreach and recruitment efforts for university student mentors and youth mentees.
  • Facilitate communication between educators, administrators, and community partners to support student outcomes in civics education.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of civics education curricula for summer and academic year programming.
  • Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and financial statements for grant coordinators and stakeholders.
  • Promote the civics education program through outreach materials and public presentations.
  • Supervise student employees and graduate assistants involved in the program.
