About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Campus Attendance Clerk/Receptionist provides reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. This role is responsible for performing and maintaining daily attendance records for grades 3-5. This FLSA non-exempt (hourly) position is on a work calendar of 197 days per school year, with pay based on years of experience from the annually reviewed hourly salary schedule. The position reports to the Principal of the assigned campus and the District PEIMS Coordinator.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or college degree
  • One year clerical experience in office setting
  • Proficient keyboarding skills
  • Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone system
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to perform frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing
  • Ability to move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse
  • Ability to perform occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Greet and direct campus visitors.
  • Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
  • Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
  • Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc.
  • Maintain computerized files using a personal computer, including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists.
  • Perform entry and maintenance of daily attendance records.
  • Print report cards and progress reports.
  • Check and verify teachers’ attendance postings on a daily basis.
  • Assist with the scheduling of teacher conferences.
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Assist with scheduling lottery day events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
