Under the general direction of the University Architect and Executive Director, oversees the planning, design, and construction of capital projects and physical improvements undertaken by the University from an architectural perspective. Ensures that projects on campus meet applicable building codes, campus design standards, and industry standards of care. Licensed subject matter expert who consults on all architectural matters for the university. This role has no direct reports but has the authority to enforce applicable codes and standards across campus. Assists campus project managers and interior designer(s) in the Public Works process by providing expertise and reviewing project deliverables. Functions with a high degree of autonomy. May provide assistance and/or support for other employees. Proactively assesses risk to establish systems and procedures to protect organizational assets. Determines campus architectural strategies with campus-wide impact.
