As the Laundry Attendant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: Campground managers are responsible for daily upkeep of campground sites, cleaning & maintenance of comfort stations, giving campers outstanding guest service experiences and being subject matter experts on all things camping in Yellowstone National Park.   • Must have a valid US driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Standing for up to eight hours per shift.
  • Requires walking, bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift.
  • Working with required chemicals, and assisting in scrubbing and cleaning of facilities.
  • Moving boxes of firewood and bags of ice outward and above the shoulder to a maximum height of 5’6” for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties toward the goal of maximizing guest service while meeting or exceeding financial goals.
  • Resolve guest problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest's viewpoint and to take necessary steps so that the guest is satisfied when they leave.

  • Address employee concerns.
  • Develop the Assistant Campground Manager through leading by example, training, and constructive feedback.
  • Provide the Assistant Campground Manager and Lead Attendant(s) with midseason and final evaluations.
  • With the assistance of the Assistant Campground Manager develop and motivate Campground (CG) and Camper Services (CS) personnel throughout the season.
  • Assist the Assistant Campground Manager and Lead Attendant(s) in providing constructive feedback, HIGs, and documentation when needed to the staff.
  • Ensure that CG personnel are offering Yellowstone Forever Donation to guests during the check-in process.
  • Regulate shift coverage for optimum effectiveness by scheduling staff according to business levels and labor standards.
  • Maintain an accurate computerized guest registration system by monitoring out-of-order sites, maintenance holds, retains, double bookings, and other reservations.
  • Ensure time clock is being reviewed, approved daily, and complete payroll reports on a daily/weekly basis for all CG/CS personnel.
  • Ensure Assistant Campground Manager is assisting with time clock.
  • Oversee accounting procedures: proper bank storage, accurate cashier reports, cash drops, and handling of payments and refunds on the Lodging Management System.
  • Managers at Madison Campground and Fishing Bridge RV Park will also handle the Controller functions for their operations following correct procedures as trained by GAO.
  • Ensure daily paperwork is completed in a timely manner and accurately, including daily reports, Manager’s Log, EOA form, and guest refund tracking sheets.
  • Control the inventory of supplies and forms and ensure inventories are taken prior to orders being placed.
  • Assure timely inspections and repair of CG/CS facilities.
  • Organize and maintain CG/CS records and equipment in accordance with Lodging Department policies.
  • Understand and support company and Lodging Department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure PCI Compliance guidelines are trained, followed, and enforced.
  • Ensure lost and found and Key Security policies are trained, followed, and enforced.
  • Ensure that the CG/CS staff is following Xanterra’s environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the CG/CS staff complies with safety guidelines.
  • Become familiar with and train emergency fire evacuation and safety procedures as needed.
  • Assure dress, appearance, and conduct policies established by Xanterra and the Lodging Department are followed and enforced.
  • Administer employee incentive programs and motivate staff as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly and constructively with staff both verbally and through shift logs.
  • Work side by side with staff on a regular basis.
  • Communicate regularly, constructively, and openly with the Lodging Resource Department.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with National Park Service personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure a smooth running operation.
  • Attend staff meetings, and safety meetings as required.
  • Assist other departments as needed, including six-day work weeks during times of staffing needs.
  • Ensure staff who drive company vehicles have valid US Driver’s license, have taken Defensive Driving, and read the Motor Vehicle manual.
  • Perform vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of the season.
  • Ensure oil changes and other maintenance is being addressed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure CG Lead Attendant and CG Attendants are doing daily inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
