  • Clean, maintain, disinfect and stock public restrooms.
  • Custodial, grounds keeping, litter control, snow shoveling, and ash removal at campsites.
  • Guest traffic control
  • Transporting, storing and stacking of firewood and ice inventories.
  • Keep work areas and vehicles neat and organized; ensure correct use of company equipment.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers, supervisors and National Park Service staff.

  • Maintain an awareness of needed supplies and maintenance problems.
  • Location dependent: stock retail product as necessary, making sure all displays are kept stocked, neat and clean.

  • Resolve guest problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest’s viewpoint and to take any necessary steps so that the guest is satisfied when they leave.
  • Maintain an awareness of needed supplies and maintenance problems.
  • Assure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and employees.
  • Alert Manager and Lead to guest or campground problems or concerns.
  • Maintain daily communication shift logs.
  • Acquaint guests with the campground, basic rules, and services in the area.
  • Maintain knowledge of all park facilities, locations, site types, hours of operations, and activities, in an effort to answer questions and give accurate information to guests.
  • Conscientiously follow Lost and Found and Key Security policies and procedures.
  • Assist other departments as needed, including six-day work weeks during times of short staffing.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections.
  • Notify Campground Lead Attendant of needed oil changes and other maintenance issues in a timely manner.

  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older to drive company vehicles.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License and good driving record.

  • Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires walking, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, shoveling, and scrubbing throughout a shift up to 8 hours.
  • Moving boxes of firewood and bags of ice outward and above the shoulder up to a height of 5’6’ for extended periods.
