About The Position

United Way of East Central Iowa is seeking a motivated Campaign Specialist to support their annual workplace giving campaign from early August through early November. This on-site role serves as a key liaison between UWECI and local corporate partners. The Campaign Specialist supports and implements workplace campaigns by building relationships with company coordinators, delivering engaging presentations, customizing campaign strategies, and helping organizations meet participation and fundraising goals. The role also involves coordinating volunteers, attending campaign events, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing regular progress reporting. This is a great opportunity to make a measurable difference in the community while gaining nonprofit fundraising and relationship management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and complete employee and corporate campaigns to meet established goals.
  • Customize messaging to meet customer needs.
  • Contact volunteers and build relationships to increase effectiveness of campaign development and account cultivation.
  • Participate and encourage others to participate in UWECI Company Coordinator Trainings, Campaign Celebrations, campaign kickoffs, and other events.
  • Attend weekly update meetings to share experiences and assist others in their fundraising efforts.
  • Conduct research on all assigned accounts and provide updated information for UWECI's database.
  • Provide regular reporting to appropriate staff members on progress of assignments.
  • Complete account notes on a timely basis.
