About The Position

The Campaign Director plays a leadership role in Global Resource Engagement and Mobilization (G-REM) by facilitating the implementation of fundraising campaigns and special philanthropic initiatives to further CRS’ ability to meet its strategic priorities. The Campaign Director collaborates closely with key partners across Catholic Relief Services, with CRS board members and volunteers to reinforce the importance of philanthropy and advance a one agency culture to accomplish these outcomes.  The principal role of the Campaign Director is to oversee the assessment, development and execution of all phases of a comprehensive fundraising campaign within G-REM. The Director will coordinate efforts to ensure that funds raised by fundraising campaigns are spent in accordance with donor intent and that effective stewardship is provided to donors and the CRS Board. As determined by the agency and G-REM leadership, the Director will support raising funds for strategic agency priorities using engagement strategies that deepen affinity and develop donor and board pipelines in preparation for future campaigns. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of integrated fundraising campaign planning that positions G-REM to expand and advance existing relationships across all donors to maximize future individual and institutional resources.
  • Directs a detailed review of lessons learned from previous campaigns and other relevant initiatives including involvement of staff from across the agency as well as the Board of Directors, Foundation Board and Campaign Steering Committee from previous campaigns. 
  • Leads efforts to raise campaign funds for strategic agency priorities, as determined by agency and G-REM leadership, using engagement strategies that deepen existing relationships and further develop donor and board opportunity pipelines.
  • Develops campaign plans that align to agency’s strategic priorities and vision for engaging U.S. constituents including schedules and activities for all internal and external marketing, communications, and events as well as a feasibility study.
  • Acts as lead campaign strategist and collaborates closely with the board engagement and giving team in weaving campaign content and opportunities into a robust, multi-channel calendar of donor events designed to inform, engage, and inspire CRS donors and advance revenue goals. Work in collaboration with G-REM Leadership, and the Board Engagement & Giving team on this strategy. 
  • With Analytics colleagues and G-REM Leadership, guide the evaluation of campaign effectiveness and campaign ROI on the various events scheduled, ensuring all campaign related activities (events, marketing, etc.) are results-driven,  aligned with G-REM’s Action Plan and that insights inform future strategy and investment decisions.
