About The Position

This position is responsible for: Supporting and coordinating the functions of the Conservatory Piano program; ensures the quality of programs and safety of youth at all times; provides guidance and role modeling to youth and ensures safety and a positive experience for campers.

Requirements

• Six months’ experience teaching music education with emphasis in piano, with the ability to perform and teach lessons in a classroom setting involving more than one student preferred, or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

• Guides the work of music instruction in helping children and youth to succeed in school by increasing their involvement and motivation; and helping them to set personal goals.
• Serves as accompanist for choir and some solos to be performed by students and staff.
• Provides training and development of camper for music instruction.
• Provides appropriate lessons for instruction time.
