About The Position

This position is responsible for managing all first aid situations at the camp, as well as managing the paperwork and individual plan of care for campers with medical concerns.

Requirements

• Proficiency in general computer usage and office programs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age per State of CT licensing regulations.
• Previously CPR/First Aid Certified for 2+years
• Possess excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• RN License preferred.
• Camp Leadership experience preferred.
• Currently enrolled in Nursing School program at the college level.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Camp Director & Camp Office Manager to manage all First Aid responsibilities and duties regarding camper health and safety.
• Administration of camper forms, including licensing management, roster preparation, communication with parents and more.
• Administer first aid as needed, maintain an accurate and organized medical log, inventory all first aid supplies, oversee individual medical plans for each camper, and ensure staff have all the tools to assess a medical situation.
• Perform all tasks to maintain State Licensing Regulations
• Safely store epi-pens, inhalers, etc in a safe location
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding medical concerns during camp.
• Oversee and advise staff on IEP for campers.
• Act as a liaison with Camp Director
• Role model for participants and staff, arrive every day with an inclusive, professional, upbeat and positive attitude.
