About The Position

The Camp Invention Director is responsible for overseeing the Camp Invention program, a weeklong STEM enrichment initiative for children entering grades K-6. This role involves engaging children through hands-on, inquiry-based activities, serving as a liaison between the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the district, and ensuring the successful implementation of the program.

Requirements

  • Experience in education or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire children in a learning environment.
  • Experience with project-based learning and student-led activities.

  • Background in STEM education or enrichment programs.
  • Experience in recruiting and training staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the district.
  • Promote the program during the registration period.
  • Recruit and hire staff and volunteers.
  • Train and supervise program team members.
  • Coordinate site logistics, including student routines and safety.
  • Engage children through hands-on STEM activities.
  • Promote the local program through community outreach and social media.
