About The Position

This position is responsible for: Assists in serving meals; cleans the kitchen and dining area; maintains inventory.

Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to observe children and youth and ensure their safety.
• Some physical requirements of the Camp Dining Room Attendant position include endurance, which involves activities such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are required to manipulate dining room equipment and perform various activities.
• Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program at the available facility.
• Operate in daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.
• Six months of experience working in a kitchen preferred, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

• Ensures the cleanliness of the tables, chairs, condiment holders, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens.
• Prepares pre-meal assignments given by the Camp Dining Hall Supervisor
• Serves food as directed by the Camp Dining Hall Supervisor.
