About The Position

As a dining hall attendant, you will be assisting in serving meals; cleans the kitchen and dining area; maintains inventory. This role maintains awareness of the dining area to ensure safety, fire, and health policies and procedures are observed at all times and reports any deviation to the Camp Dining Hall Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old and a high school graduate or GED preferred.
  • A heart for others and a mind towards Christ.
  • Should be self-motivated and teachable.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • CPR & First Aid certified or capable of passing by June 15, 2026 (training provided by Camp Hoblitzelle during staff training if needed.)
  • A willingness to abide by The Salvation Army doctrinal statement and Camp Hoblitzelle’s policies.
  • Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of the dining hall includes sweeping, mopping, polishing, and waxing the floors in the kitchen and dining room.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the tables, chairs, condiment holders, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens.
  • Assists in ensuring that all garbage containers in the kitchen and dining areas are leak-proof, securely covered, and tied when not in use.
  • Support and participates enthusiastically as a team member in overall camp programming, special events, and evening activities, and other all-camp activities and camp functions as a part of a collaborative staff team.
  • Model Christian values and integrate faith into daily interactions, camper programs, and camp life.
