About The Position

This position is responsible for: Planning, coordinating and directing the functions of the Conservatory Creative Arts program; ensures the quality of programs and safety of youth at all times; provides guidance and role modeling to youth and ensures safety and a positive experience for campers.

Requirements

• Six months’ experience teaching dance or drama, with the ability to perform and teach lessons in a classroom setting involving more than one student preferred, or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

• Guides the work of dance and drama instruction in helping children and youth to succeed in school by increasing their involvement and motivation and helping them to set personal goals.
• Provides training and development of camper for dance, drama, public speaking, performance and service learning.
• Provides appropriate lessons for instruction time.
