About The Position

Under general supervision is responsible for working with children of various ages, in planning, supervising and leading activities by performing the following duties. All candidates conditionally offered transfer, promotion or initial hiring into a DOT/safety-sensitive position shall submit to testing for drugs and alcohol and test negative before performing any job functions that are safety-sensitive or require a CDL. External job applicants with a confirmed positive drug or alcohol test result shall be denied employment and shall be required to wait one year before applying for another position within Tulsa County. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for planning, supervising and leading activities at the camp site. Must be able to work with children, parents, and visitors tactfully and courteously. Inspect equipment and facilities. Keep an inventory of equipment. Maintain records and reports. Keep site clean and stores equipment properly. Maintain discipline. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four year high school or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Certified in Adult and Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
  • Skill in recreational activities such as wellness/fitness, sports, arts and crafts.
  • Knowledge of game rules; and of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability - Knowledge of game rules; and of departmental policies and procedures.
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
