About The Position

At Tamarack Day Camp, being a counselor isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact, build leadership skills, and create unforgettable memories for both you and your campers. Our counselors are the heart of camp. You’ll lead, inspire, support, and play a major role in shaping a camper’s summer experience. Required Commitment To be employed as a Camp Counselor at Tamarack Day Camp, you must be available for all 39 days of camp : June 29th – August 21st Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM No weekends If you are unable to commit to the entire camp season, this position will not be the right fit.

Requirements

• High school juniors or seniors, college students, or educators
• Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• A genuine interest in working with children and being part of a team

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage a group of campers throughout the camp day
• Participate in and help facilitate sports, creative activities, swimming, special events, and theme days
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to campers
• Help maintain a fun, safe, and inclusive camp environment
• Work collaboratively with fellow counselors and camp leadership
