Camp Counselor
About The Position
Looking for a temporary position while home from college? Come enjoy a summer of fun working as a Camp Counselor at Unity House of Troy! This is a traveling camp that enjoys daily trips to area pools, beaches, parks and fun activities for children from ages 6 to 12! Must be able to work a six week commitment July and August. Camp dates are July 6th - August 14th. Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. We work to achieve social justice in our community and to create a better understanding of those we serve.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma and have a background in supervising children.
Responsibilities
- Provide one on one supervision to assigned camper.
- Provide group supervision to your assigned campers.
- Ensure their health and safety at all times.
- Assist with activities.
- Assist others as needed.
- Promote an environment on belonging and inclusion.
