About The Position
The Highland Park Country Club is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Camp Counselors to join their summer camp team. Counselors play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children Pre-K through 5th Grade. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with kids, thrive in an active outdoor setting, and are committed to delivering a high-quality camp experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and leadership abilities
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children (camp, coaching, babysitting, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage with a group of campers throughout daily activities
- Lead and assist with sports, swimming, arts & crafts, games, and special events
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful camp environment
- Communicate effectively with fellow staff, camp leadership, and parents when needed
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp activities and equipment
- Follow all club policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols
