Camp Counselor
About The Position
Arc Human Services is looking for compassionate, caring, Camp Counselors to join our team in Washington County, PA located near Washington Park! Camp Laugh-A-Lot is an inclusive summer camp for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities along with mental illness. $17.50 per hour, Monday - Friday Summary: Camp Counselors are responsible for the supervision and care of their assigned group ranging in levels of support from 1:1 to 1:3. This position entails working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities along with mental illness. This position will be working outdoors, involved with water activities, daily documentation, assisting with activities of daily living with the campers, etc. Camp Counselors report directly to the Camp Coordinator. This is a seasonal position running from June through August and working Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma plus direct service experience or college credits from an accredited college / university in a related field (or equivalent combination)
- must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- valid Driver’s License with 3-year clean driving record
- ability to pass background checks, physical and TB test
