The Environmental Education Instructor / Camp Counselor position is a temporary role with work opportunities between April and October. Applicants can choose to work 9-hour day shifts (7:30am-4:30pm), 15-hour night shifts (4:30pm-7:30am), or both, depending on their preference and Camp staffing needs. Daytime staff are responsible for delivering Camp Colton's experiential outdoor education curriculum and programs to student campers, collaborating with other instructors and classroom teachers to enhance camper learning experiences. Overnight staff deliver evening programs, supervise campers during the night, and ensure their safety. All staff contribute to the overall functionality of the Camp and ensure a positive outdoor educational experience for all participants.
