About The Position

At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. Requirements

  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred.
  • CPR certified.
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter who just gets a job done.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 9.
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding incidents during camp.

Responsibilities

  • Coach children on brain, physical, and character development based on the designed camp curriculum.
  • Manage camp sizes of up to 20 children, ages 4 - 9.
  • Ensure camp starts and ends on schedule and follows the appropriate pace of curriculum.
  • Greet students and parents/guardians as they arrive to camp.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp.
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
  • Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors.
  • Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents.
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
  • Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment, covering multiple miles in a shift and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director.
