About The Position

At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends running the playground and raising their hands high in the classroom. Requirements

  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter who just gets a job done

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 9
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp

Responsibilities

  • Camp sizes of up to 20 children, ages ranging from 4 - 9
  • Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
  • Ensure camp both starts and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
  • Greet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to camp
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
  • Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors
  • Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system
  • Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
  • Work in a physically intensive environment, covering multiple miles in a shift and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Work 'hands-on' with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director
  • Obtain camp-certified status from the HQ Training and Certification team
  • Supervise, ensure safety, and implement programs for campers while ensuring the well-being of all children
