About The Position

Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation’s third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners—Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art—there’s a role for everyone at The Woodruff.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Current undergraduate studies in art administration, youth education, or museum studies preferred.
  • Previous experience working with teens is required.
  • Understands and recognizes boundaries with Teen Team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all supplies and inventory for camp, in collaboration with the Camp Leader and Assistant Camp Leader.
  • Provides direct assistance with campers in workshops, during lunches/snack times, and in galleries as needed.
  • Assists with daily, weekly, and summer-long set-up, maintenance, and clean-up of camp spaces and supplies.
  • Relieves and assists staff as needed for breaks, emergencies, tardies/absences, and when extra help is needed.
  • Remains visible and accessible to staff, campers, and caregivers.
  • Assists with daily drop-off and pick-up; ensures that all campers are delivered safely and accurately from caregiver to workshop.
  • Communicates all pertinent staff and camper needs, issues, and concerns to Camp Leader and Coordinator of Public Programs in a timely manner.
  • Oversees all workshop and material prep for Teen Team.
  • Oversees daily Teen Team check-in and check-out.
  • Mentors and guides Teen Team members while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Sets a good example for Teen Team members in all areas, including professional appearance, punctuality, adherence to rules, and responsibility.
  • Assists the Teen Team Instructor in activities, break-out sessions, and discussions.
  • Aids in facilitating projects, gallery exploration, and brainstorming sessions.
