About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Education department is currently seeking a part-time Camp and Family Programmer who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. This role is responsible for facilitating programming in the Toledo Zoo’s Education Department. The focus of this position will be on facilitating Summer Camps, preschool programs, and parent/child programs. This individual would also support educational programming in any area of the education department. This position reports to the Education Program Manager and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of completed college coursework with experience leading classrooms or teaching in an informal education setting preferred.
  • Background and experience in animal sciences, education, environmental or natural sciences a plus.
  • Must be 21+ years of age or older
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening and background check are required.
  • The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Nice To Haves
