About The Position

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a candidate for a position in the Engineering Group, specifically within Camera Engineering. The role involves leveraging advanced Camera Engineering knowledge to research, design, develop, verify, debug, implement, and/or validate complex camera systems, software, or system tasks. This includes working on Camera Image Signal Processor, 3A, Image Quality, Features, and Tuning Tools, as well as algorithms, features, modeling, and optimization. The candidate will perform architecture, IQ modules, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive complex requirements and specifications aimed at improving overall image quality for various features. Additionally, the role requires ensuring that advanced image quality, system performance, and ISP area and power metrics are met, while addressing customer and product requirements in functionality and results. The candidate will also support customer features to achieve optimal image quality and identify any implementation or configuration errors. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize camera systems, hardware, and/or software is essential. The candidate will be responsible for writing detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex Camera projects to guide users and/or customers in implementing the output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced Camera Engineering knowledge to research, design, develop, verify, debug, implement, and/or validate complex camera systems.
  • Perform architecture, IQ modules, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive complex requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure advanced image quality, system performance, and ISP area and power metrics are met.
  • Address customer/product requirements in functionality and results.
  • Support customer features to achieve optimal image quality and identify implementation and/or configuration errors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize camera systems, hardware, and/or software.
  • Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex Camera projects.
