About The Position

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in C++ programming.
- Experience in embedded systems development.
- Experience working with cameras or imaging.
Nice To Haves
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- Knowledge of embedded systems development, Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) concepts, device drivers and hardware/software integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve camera system software that implements a robust and performant programmable camera pipeline.
- Write product or system development code.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
