About The Position

The Camera Operator is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage during games and events, working closely with the Production team. This role ensures that all live and recorded content is visually engaging, accurate, and professionally executed. Operators may also assist with other production tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have good vision and hearing; able to communicate clearly.
  • Frequent use of hands, walking stairs, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, or inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Attend game-day production meetings in the Production Room.
  • Review daily assignments and tasks with the department head.
  • Transport and set up assigned camera equipment, including tripods, headsets, and other accessories.
  • Focus cameras and coordinate with the Production Room to begin filming.
  • Follow direction from the Production Room to film specific areas, events, or people.
  • Adjust equipment and use protective coverings during inclement weather.
  • Tear down and safely store equipment at the end of each shift, returning all items to the Production room.
  • Managing instant replays
  • Operating video boards and closed-circuit televisions.
  • Running graphics and controlling displayed content.
  • Archiving media and assisting with off-site productions.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
